Our Work with Teachers
We believe creating opportunities for educators to connect, collaborate, and grow their comfort in designing STEM learning experiences is critical to preparing and encouraging Central Virginia students in K-12 and beyond to seek careers in STEM fields.
We invite Central Virginia educators to connect with our mission! futurefocusfoundation@gmail.com

NEW! Drive-in STEM Education Series
The Greater Lynchburg area showcases a wealth of STEM-based companies that serve as catalysts to build a stronger sense of connection and community for our teachers. Our STEM Education Series links teachers with STEM sites while providing fun, engaging professional learning and mini-grant opportunities.
Goals:
-
Provide a fun and safe place for K-12 educators to collaborate and grow.
-
Connect educators to STEM-based businesses and organizations within the Great Lynchburg Area.
-
Provide authentic opportunities for teachers to participate in hands-on investigations, data collection, and science and engineering practices.
-
Provide teachers with examples of STEM lessons they can transfer into their own classroom teaching and learning.
-
Offer mini-grants to K-12 educators to purchase materials to support STEM education.
