The traveling GO Research G-Force car sets were a hit during the March 2025 Monelison Middle School and Amelon Elementary Schools' STEAM/STEM nights. Future Focus Foundation's President, Dr. Cheryl Lindeman, invited families to explore various experiments using The PocketLab G-Force Racer car, which utilizes Hot Wheels tracks.
This year's bumper challenge included using a ladder to elevate a ramp where the vehicle crashed into a brick or a large box. Recycled materials were used to create bumpers to reduce the G-force. The built-in accelerometer in the G-Force car provides quick data analysis. Bumper data ranged from 16 g down to 2 g, with the best result.
Way Cool! GO Research sets are part of a Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation grant.
