New GLCF grant supports "Drive-in STEM Education Series" project

September 2022. The Future Focus Foundation's new "Drive-in STEM Education Series" sponsor is Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation. According to FFF President, Cheryl Lindeman, "The $5500 grant will provide ways for teachers to share their STEM teaching and learning and apply for STEM mini-grants. We are excited to see how this program will grow." The first community connection professional development launched on July 15 with Lynchburg Grows. The STEM education series will connect K-12 educators in our region with STEM-based business while providing fun, engaging professional learning opportunities. Networking opportunities will be provided for educators to build professional relationships and learn how to take science and engineering practices to the next level.
